The Ohio Ecological Food & Farm Association

Founded in 1979, The Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association (OEFFA) has a mission to cultivate a future where sustainable and organic farmers thrive, local food nourishes our communities, and agricultural practices protect and enhance our environment.

OEFFA Offers a Wide Variety of Value-Added Agriculture Benefits:

  • Education: OEFFA provides educational workshops, webinars, resources, and one-on-one technical support to assist both new and existing producers. The dedicated OEFFA staff work in various areas to help farmers build their farming, business, and marketing skills. Each year, OEFFA hosts a renowned annual conference, along with a series of open farm tours and workshops, allowing consumers and growers to see, taste, feel, and learn from farmers.
  • Policy Advocacy: OEFFA's Policy Program advocates for state and federal policies that protect and benefit sustainable agriculture, research, and education, as well as the public’s right to know. By working with members, OEFFA gives voice to concerned citizens and family farmers who are dedicated to safeguarding the environment.
  • Organic Certification: As one of the oldest and most respected programs in the nation, OEFFA’s Certification program ensures that farmers and processors meet organic standards that protect farmers, consumers, and the environment. To assist farmers in transitioning to organic practices, OEFFA offers dedicated education staff, resources, and services.
  • Membership Organization: OEFFA is made up of almost 2,000 members from across the United States who support our ongoing work in strengthening our food and farm systems. By donating to OEFFA, you become a member and receive exclusive perks.
