Summary of 2024 That's Agra-Tastic Show Activity

2024 was a banner year for “That’s Agra-Tastic" with many exciting developments. 

Activity included: 

  • Extensive coverage of the FFA Program, both locally and nationally. This involved coverage from the 2024 National FFA Convention with over 20 spotlight interviews with both top National FFA personnel including CEO Scott Stump, 
  • Purdue AG College, The Ohio State University College of Food Agricultural & Environmental Science , corporate sponsors, members receiving top National Honor, Conference Keynote, and others. 
  • Shows with FFA Chapters included The Marysville Ohio FFA Chapter, Dewitt Iowa, Tate High School in Cantonment, Florida with National Blue Angels Award Winner Austin Courson (FFA Advisor) 
  • A major focus was placed on the continuing evolution and scope of Farmers markets across the country. Key organizations interviewed included The National Farmers Market Coalition, and The Ohio Farmers Market Coalition. 
  • Large and small markets were spotlighted including The Orleans Cape Cod Market, The Travel Advisor Top Twenty Market of Holland, Michigan, 
  • The Vancouver, WA Downtown market and its Center City Market, Site visits were also held with both Vancouver and Holland Markets. 
  • The Agra-Tourism industry also was spotlighted with shows featuring the Iowa State Fair and The Pickaway County Fair in Ohio. 
  • AG appearances included The Central Ohio “Ice Cream with a Farmer” and The Miami Valley Steam Threshers Show as Event Announcer 
  • A series of interviews with the Miss AG USA Organization Queens and Advocates was held throughout the year 
  • A show featuring Ag Comedy was held with "Tim the Dairyman” from Florida 
  • Special Therapeutic horseback programs were spotlighted with a show on The Nationally recognized Cheff Center of Michigan 
  • The Ohio Christmas Tree Growers were covered with a show featuring their CEO and their Board President 
  • A show on the work of The National Turkey Federation that also covered Consumer Tips, state of the industry, The White House Turkey Tradition, was held with their CEO and National Communications Director 
  • The Ohio Ecological Food & Farm Association (OEFFA) Annual Conference and Expo was covered with their Director of Communications as well as a special interview with their major keynote 
  • An additional show was held with the new CEO of the OEFFA on the organization’s goals and priority action plans 
  • For the second year, An FFA intern from the Marysville Ohio FFA Chapter was used and provided broadcast skills training 
  • A new show website was started and is continuing to be developed at That’s Agra-Tastic.com 
  • A relationship with The Ohio Department of Agriculture resulted in a show on Food Safety, and another one on The Ohio Historic Farm Program. (Additional shows with the Department are coming in 2025) 
  • A show with Nationwide Childrens' Marysville Close to Home Center on “Kids Summer Safety on the Farm was held 

GOALS FOR 2025 THAT’S AGRA-TASTIC SHOW

Overall focus continuing to build the show brand with the following actions: 

  • Continue to strengthen and build relationship with both the National FFA and local Chapters 
  • Expand spotlight on Agri-tourism activity including Fairs, Farmers Markets and other innovative farms across the country 
  • Increase shows with The Ohio Department of Agriculture 
  • Continue to build relationship with additional engagement with Th
  • Central Ohio Farm Bureau 
  • Continue relationship with The Miss AG USA organization 
  • Continue to build and expand relationship The Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association 
  • Increase show partnerships with at least 3 new partners 
  • Complete show website, provide increased postings on show Facebook on a weekly basis and explore addition show listening platforms 
  • Explore more on-site AG Appearance opportunities
